About
Atmosphere and adventure sit fundamentally at the heart of 'Sundance Festival' nominated composer Kees Phillips' work. Known mainly for his work in video games and short films, his composing style can be described as immersive, orchestrally-driven and thematic, never failing to capture the core essence and feel of the projects he works on.
With early success composing for award nominated short films (Siffré; Black Island; Lost Boy), and indie animations (Merlin the Mallard; Deflated; Business Dog), his eclectic, story driven music kick-started his obsession for composing.
Some years - and many, many hours of gaming - later, Kees started nurturing his obsession of composing for video games, maintaining at all times the curiosity and adventure that allows him to create such gripping atmospheres.
